"If we win, we praise Him, and if we lose, we praise Him."

A night at the game...going into winter here, it even "feels" like Iowa football weather.

Idigima is involved in the annual football (soccer) tournament, which is a bit different than what you experience in America.

Here, the best players of each team are combined for the next round. The first round was with Msankwi, which ended in a tie of 3-3. A later game at home ended with Idigima on top 3-0.

The next level was against a combined force coming from Iyula-A and neighboring schools. They had an incredible goalie who kept us to one goal. Although we were in their half of the field most of the night, that goalie kept us at one. They eventually scored three.

A good time was had by all. The girls from each side of the field actually have echo cheers and response cheers that keep everyone laughing.

Volleyball and Netball are also events on an evening of sports at Idigima Secondary School.

Also quite unlike US athletic events from my high school days, these students are seldom far from their academic awareness.

Students study at football game.

When they work and when they play, they often will be carrying one of their exercise books in a pocket in case they have some time to study.

More coming in future updates, such as . . . a new building going up, Joanne's Pre-Form I class continues to grow, an evening of work for the students, a tour of our home here in Tanzania, a fond fairwell to a friend and co-teacher.

Your Hands & Feet in service to the Lord among the people of Tanzania.

Love to all,

Gary & Joanne
